● Easy installation and easy handling

● The product is highly durable and easy to use

● Low-VOC formula reduces solvent emissions for a better working environment

● Industrial-grade CPVC solvent cement for use on industrial piping systems requiring chemical resistance to caustics

● Orange cement for use on all schedules and classes of CPVC pipe and fittings up to 6-Inch diameter with interference fit

● Heavy-bodied, high-strength orange PVC cement applies smoothly and has a medium set time ideal for warm-weather applications

CPVC glue cure time

It can be seen that under the same pressure, the CPVC glue on the same size pipe at different temperatures, and the cure time

is different. The higher the temperature, the shorter the cure time.

How to use CPVC glue

Steps 1. Cut the pipe squarely
Steps 2. Clean the pipe
Steps 3. Test the fit
Steps 4. Apply cement
Steps 5.Join quickly
Steps 6. Hold for 30 seconds
Steps7. Inspect the joint

What happens if you use pvc glue on cpvc?

Glue made specifically for PVC will not be fully effective on CPVC and could lead to leaks or breakage. So chemically joining CPVC and PVC requires solvent cement and primer that are strong enough to fully bond CPVC pipe.

What is the difference between CPVC and PVC cement?

1. Different applications
PVC stands for polyvinyl chloride, while CPVC stands for chlorinated polyvinyl chloride. Hopson CPVC cement can be used for PVC pipe and CPVC pipe. And PVC cement
holds PVC pipes together, but it can'tbe usedto hold CPVC pipes together, as the cement would melt or erode with the constant flow of hot water.

2. Different melting points
The added chlorine in CPVC increases its heat tolerance, so the melting point of CPVC cement is higher than that of PVC cement.

3. Different chemical
structure CPVC is harder than PVC, which makes it more prone to breaking. CPVC is more brittle than PVC and canbe warpedor cracked moreeasily, but it is also more flexible than PVC.

4. The price is different
CPVC cement is more expensive than PVC cement.

We recommend the use of PVC for recreational use building, cold water systems, vent systems, and drainage systems. CPVC is recommended for applications where the largest temperature will exceed 140 degrees Fahrenheit but stay under CPVC's max rating of 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

How long does PVC glue take to dry before turning on water?

After you join the pipes you need to hold them together for at least 30 seconds so the cement can harden. It will take another 15 minutes for the joint to set to the point that it can withstand water pressure and anothertwo hoursto curefully.
