It's safe, and commonly done in the emergency room instead of traditional sutures. The trick is to get it to bind the laceration on the surface. Do not use it to fill or pack the wound! Hold the cut closed and wick the cyanoacrylate over it while continuing to hold it closed for a few moments. The label will likely indicate that it will bond skin instantly. They’re not far wrong on that!
